Amar Shah is a designer, urban theorist, and researcher with over 8 years of experience on various project types of different scales. In his design methodology, he researches important factors related to culture, program, technology, and form with the aspiration to implement this research to any scale of design. He looks to integrate ecologically sensitive ideas into all of his design solutions.
Amar approaches design holistically and follows a rigor with a lens that can be applied to any scale of design. This methodology allows Amar to constantly think outs-of-the-box for solutions to tough problems ranging from urban interventions to new superblocks, while maintaining a practical mindset. He prefers collaborative environments where ideas and thoughts are encouraged and shared.
Through educational and working opportunities he continues to be involved in an array of projects including office, residential, hospitality, urban mixed-use, urban design, urban regeneration, and transit oriented development. He proficiently executes his visions with the latest digital software used in the industry and is constantly pushing the limits of his technical knowledge and overall abilities.
