Morphosis is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to fill a position in its Culver City, California office. The position involves working closely with the shop team and design teams to fabricate physical models, furniture, and full-scale building prototypes. 

Ideal candidates will:

• Possess a professional degree in architecture
• Have 3-7 years of professional experience in Fabrication, Construction, or Architecture
• Demonstrate confidence and leadership skills required to lead and mentor a team
• Work as a team-player with a no-nonsense hands-on approach
• Have a working knowledge of fabrication, construction materials, and assembly techniques
• Be organized, motivated, and detail oriented
• Excellent fluency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities include:

• Work with a team to ensure models and other physical deliverables are produced on schedule and budget
• Maintain fabrication and shop equipment including 3D printers, CNC router, Kuka robotic arm, laser cutter, welder, saws, and other shop tools
• Prepare digital models for physical fabrication using Rhino and Adobe software
• Travel to supervise installations around the world
• Comply with and enforce shop safety protocol
